And Then There is This…

morning-sunflower-mom-got-blog

Good Morning!

This post is flying completely off the cuff.

I have been up since 3:30am because I can’t sleep…

I have a To-Do list that is 3 miles long and I have no idea how I’m going to get through it. In fact, I just went through my emails and I am disgusted that I have over 2,000 emails in my inbox. What the heck??

I have had a weekend FULL of activities that have kept me away from the computer; graduation parties. Friday, Saturday AND Sunday…and had a blast at each one, training run for my half-marathon (yup! Signed on for another long-haul run!), reading a book (The Help) that I JUST COULD NOT PUT DOWN and trying to get a head start on the Mt. Laundry that has grown near the washer.

Each time I tried to fire up the laptop, I got busy doing something else and my posts got put to the side.

One post in particular I have been trying to put together, but it just hasn’t been sounding right.

And it hasn’t been written. I think because I know it is an important one and I want it to be just right. But you know what?

Nothing is perfect. Sometimes you just have to say:  It is what it is.

A lot is changing in my life this week.

For the better.

Will it impact this blog?

Yes.  In a good way.

As of Thursday, I will be working from home. I have made the decision to resign from my job and invest in ME. It is time to put the fear aside and listen to that voice inside that keeps yelling “You CAN do this!”

A new beginning in freelance writing and working on my book.

Am I nervous? Afraid? Sick to my stomach? Yes, yes and yes.

But, I will never know what can happen if I don’t try.

Things are getting organized behind the scenes and I wanted to let you know that over the next month or so,  some friends will be  helping me out. You will see guest posts once a week from some fantastic writers sharing stories, tips and all around greatness. Please show them some love when they are here.

Hopefully, I will have my act together at some point today and will be able finish the post I wanted to put here this morning.

But today feels like a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants kinda day….

Now onto that To-Do list….

    So happy for you.

There is the gift of middle age: where you realize, no one is going to live your life for you.

YOU HAVE TO GO FIGHT WIN.

    I’m in your corner, girl!

    Because I love you.
